On a technical level, Kite Liberator incorporates a few shots of CGI, which is surprisingly solid, but in a few shots where it mixes the 2D and 3D animation, it is a bit awkward. Here, there’s barely enough room to develop on the one idea that it did have. Sure, it went for more of an episodic approach, but 12 episodes still had enough room to develop on what it was trying to do.
